Although that honour ultimately was awarded to Alice Major, Kirsten has previously been nominated for the Enbridge Emerging Artist Award and the Edmonton Youth Council Award (both in 2004). She is currently at work on her second book, featuring the words and the art of youth involved with the iHuman Youth Society.
